In the early 1990's, I worked as a skycap for Continental Airlines at Orlando International Airport. I worked three afternoons on the curb and two in the bagroom. I think it was a morning in 1992. my manager, Gary called me early one morning and asked (told) me that he needed me to come in early to help out. It had been an especially busy morning on the curb, and he needed help with pushing wheelchairs and meeting flights at the gates. So, I reluctantly agreed to come in at 10 o'clock that morning.
I got off the elevator and walked around to the exit doors and then out to the curb. It was packed full of travelers. Gary saw me and motioned for me to come over to him. I walked over to his cart where he was checking in luggage for passengers. He said under his breath, "There's a celebrity flying out on us and he's gonna be here in a couple of minutes. I need you to escort him and his group with one of the red coats (from the airline) out to the gate, and then meet the inbound Newark fligh…
