I have been to the west coast many times, and each visit has drawn me even closer to wanting to someday live and retire there. This story is based on many other stories I have dreamed of writing. Chapter One

When you look out at the Gulf of Mexico, when the sun is just coming up, it is just really quiet. The water is calm, it's just so peaceful. I usually take a walk almost every morning, down to the pier and back. Every once in a while, I'll see someone jogging with their dog; and we'll wave at each other. I just love the smell of the water and the sand. I'll get back to the house and have a glass of O.J. and maybe eat a Pop Tart or maybe make some toast. T…
