I actually stole this idea from one of my all time favorite jazz guitarists, Joyce Cooling. I hear her use this phrasing in many of her amazing songs. You should check out her music. This arpeggiated scale is something I use quite often when I am improvising. Thought you might like to try it.
G Major scale
This G major scale uses minor and major 3rd’s as a way of breaking out of the linear scale “boxing” that plagues everyone who is trying to learn how to improvise. If you think in terms of “pairing off” notes as mini chords, the effect is pretty cool.
