This lesson will be part of a multi-part series of exercises to help you better understand keys and playing their chords. We will use basic major and minor triads along with seventh chord exercises. These lessons will include learning how to change chords clearly in rhythm - which means you will need to use a metronome - or you can follow along with the audio track below. (We will not be using diminished, augmented or suspended chords for these lessons).
The Chords in the key of C Major: C, Dm, Em, F, G, Am.Â
This exercise will be in 4/4 time at 60bpm. Each chord will be strummed four times for each measure. All six chords will be "paired-off" one time, and will not repeat.
You can practice along with this audio clip.
