My earliest memories of listening to music goes all the way back to the 1960's when my aunt Kathy babysat my brother and I. She would walk us over to my grandparents house, which was only a few blocks away, and she would play her Beatles 45's on her record player. This was about the time (circa 1966-67), when "Day Tripper" was all over the radio. My parents were also music enthusiasts. They had one of those long wall-unit stereo consoles in the living room. It had a record player and a stereo tuner. I remember when we lived on the south side of town, my mother would play records all afternoon while she cleaned the house. If we weren't listening to music there, my old man had the AM radio tuned to WRJN or WOKY in the car. The radio in the car was one of our best sources for new music.
