Well, what hasn't already been said about this iconic album? I'm going to tell you what "Rumours" means to me, opposed to what it means to everyone else. You see, this album was one of the very first vinyls I ever bought brand new. Would you believe, I still have it in my collection? It's been played many, many times and has endured endless scratches, pops and clicks. I haven't actually played it in many years, what with the advent of the digital age...I mean, I have the entire album on my smartphone. Yeah well, in my opinion, vinyl is still better than digital.
I had only been playing the guitar for a few months when this album was released on February 4, 1977. It was a few months before my 14th birthday. I remember "Dreams" being all over pop radio. We all knew about Stevie Nicks and her vocals on "Rhiannon" from the previous album, "Fleetwood Mac - Fleetwood Mac (1975)". Her vocals on Rumours would match, if not exceed the expectations to top that album.
