I recently decreased the paid subscription rates to this SoundHole newsletter, in an effort to draw more interest. (The new rates are temporary and are subject to change at anytime without notice).
What is Substack?
The entire idea behind Substack is for people like you to enjoy high quality newsletters sent directly to your email.
As a Substack writer for nearly three years, I now have nearly 200 subscribers, and over 400 followers. I am grateful for these kinds of numbers. However, out of all of those subscribers, only “7” of them are “paid subscribers”. After three years, I thought I’d have a lot more subscribers paying me, by now.
As much as I love writing these articles, it takes significant effort and commitment to bring to you quality, interesting, informative articles to read.
I have been teaching private guitar and bass guitar lessons since 1996. Substack affords me the opportunity to reach people from all over the planet!
Imagine that!
I never could have dreamed 30 years ago, that I would one day become a writer and use my teaching skills to help fellow guitarists learn how to become better practicing instrumentalists.
Hey, we’re all good at something, right?
Some of us get paid well for what we do best. Honestly, as a private guitar teacher, I barely scrape by. I still love what I do; but the market for beginner guitar players has been dwindling for many years.
So, I’ve had to become resourceful and take my work to the internet in an effort to reach as many would-be guitarists, as I can. The bottom line is - I just want to get paid for my efforts.
By the way, if you’re interested, I also have Skype lessons available.
How much are the Subscriptions?
Right now, you can pay $5.00/month or $55.00/year for all-access to absolutely everything on SoundHole.
Pretty good deal, don’t ya think?
I have hundreds of guitar lessons to help you learn how to become a better guitarist. I have interesting articles on music, reviews, my top favorites and lots of other articles of interest.
Thank-you so much for being a subscriber. I truly appreciate your loyalty. If you enjoy my articles, for the price of a cup of coffee, you can help support me with a monthly or yearly subscription.
Thank-you, Dave.
